yeah, it was easier to hold off watching it when i saw it was a claire episode. instead, i'm watching chris reeves sucking the stem cells out of the spines of fetuses to regain his strength.

So the others are a theatrical troupe of doctors.

This Locke vs Jack thing is getting progressively weaker. They've set up the Locke character as a wise philosopher type, yet he gets immediately suckered by this guy's passive-aggressive taunting?

I thought the two of them already know this and were just keeping it a secret for some reason. Guess not.

Well, Locke got suckered by Sawyer. He's not as sharp as he used to be. I would have liked for him to see though that, though.

Yeah, Locke has been disappointing this season after being the sage of season 1.

Still, aside from a few clumsy scenes, this was a great episode.

I laughed at Eko's beard thing. WTF

The results of this episode make you think "well, they probably gutted her like a fish."

But... when the Others captured Kate and there was the whole thing with Jack and them handing over their guns, Alex was the one who brought Kate over to Beardy. And that was a long time after Claire's return.

So they probably don't have a clue. She's most likely still hanging with them, babysitting the kids.

also, his backstory paints him as a bit of a bitch ass.

Yeah, I also didn't have high hopes for it being a Claah episode, but there was probably more revealed in this episode than any single episode before. I actually figured out the Dharmites were "posing" as the others before they found the beard and theatrical glue. As soon as the locker was opened and the dingy clothes became visible, it all made perfect sense.

It's also obvious now that the "hot air balloonist" being held prisoner is definitely a Dharmite, based on his whole "Why are you letting the doctor call the shots?" psyche-out of Locke. My guess is that not only is there no infection permeating the island, but the Dharma "vaccine" is actually some sort of mind-control serum. The biggest mystery at this point is figuring out to whom Zeke was referring when having that altercation with Ethan outside the nursery. Apparently, Zeke is no higher than the #2 in command of the Dharmites.

Interesting episode indeed. I kept asking my husband, "how is it possible that the woman who plays Claire can be so beautiful?" She really is quite striking. But yes, Claire-shouting is annoying after about, uh, 2 minutes.

I also knew immediately when they showed the girl telling Claire to get out (or maybe it was when Claire referenced a teenage girl) that it had to have been Rousseau's kid.

Locke is disappointing me. Hold it together, man.
