Betty was one of the first CDs I ever bought and I never liked it too much. I haven't listened to it since I was about 10 though so I have no idea what I'd think of it now. Is Meantime better?

Betty is like a glossier version of Meantime.

edit: but yeah, Meantime is better.

Meantime is classic, yes.

Hamilton has also done production work, including producing "Distort Yourself" by Institute, the new band started by Gavin Rossdale of Bush.

yup thats it......i hate to admit it, but i dont hate that institute album. its def. a throw back to 15 years ago, but its done in a 'not completely shitty way'....did i cover my ass here?

ass sufficiently covered...and i think i agree. . . .

yeah if def. time to break out the old helmet stuff, just for fun,

i'll add to the list that says Meantime is their best. Aftertaste i liked once i got used to it. the guitar sound of the instruments and vocals was familiar, but it was weird hearing Helmet do poppier songs rather than head-banging hard rock anthems. i didn't even get around to listening to Size Matters, and i'm not regretting it.

...any love out there for Hammerhead or Karp?

Any love for Aftertaste? I wasn't blown away by it at the time, but I've really grown to like it a lot. I like that it went back to a more stripped-down, leaner style after Betty. Not a masterpiece by any means, but pretty fun to crank when in the right mood.

I haven't listened to it in forever...gonna hafta rectify that.
