This album just blew my mind last night. It is really hard to believe that Muse has not gotten huge internationally. I still hardly know anybody outside of my close circle of friends that has even heard of them. I know that Absolution got a lot of play from Obners but what do you all think of this album.

For some reason I only got this recently. I have had muscle museum (edit: Showbiz) and Absolution for quite somet time, but I am LOVING Origin of Symmetry right now.

I agree...if the mood catches right, this is a great album. Absolution still gets more playtime from me though for whatever reason.

i think this is a great album by an criminally overlooked band (maybe if they didnt sound so british or so much like radiohead :D )

great album none the less

For me on this album it's Megalomania and Plug In Baby.

Do you think that they are not bigger in a commercial sense because they take FOREVER to release new albums? Or do you think it is because there is too much of a strong sound like radiohead...?

i don't think sounding too much like radiohead hurts their chances at fame, considering Coldplay is so popular. i like how on Origin they have those piano/synth parts that remind me of Moby.

Absolution as a complete album from start to finish is just more solid. Origin has a few amazing tracks on it though. Especially the opener. It's really going to be interesting to see how they follow up Absolution because that is such a classic to me. For a band I love so much one would think I'd actually have something to contribute here.

Does track three have the lyrics-I cut your name in my heart? I love that one too.

np: Radiohead-Idioteque (funny it's playing now)
