I've got an old friends from Montreal coming into town for the weekend. She's going to stay with us which is nice. We haven't really made any solid plans beyond that, hopefull I'll get to show her around town a bit; good restaurants, a particularly nice park, etc....

tonight i'm seeing film school

friday i'm meeting message board friends for drinks. i will then walk next door to see the son of one mb friend and his band perform. after that, i'm going to see pearls and brass at a venue clear across town.

saturday i've been invited to a gathering as a +1 with a friend who can't find anyone to take because he's lame. but i love him anyway.

sunday i will rest, just as the good lord did many moons ago...

scatter sex, sleep, texas toast, and cleaning my apartment into the mix and voila... my weekend.

Yep! Luchitas recently opened a restaurant down the street from me. It's located across from Lorain County Community College in Elyria.

The original is located on W117th in Cleveland.

i always wonder why daystar starts the thread, but doesn't post her plans until later. hmm.

anyways, tomorrow after work the bf and i are driving to iowa to spend the weekend with my parents. i will go shopping with my mom, drink beer with my dad, and likely spend a lot of time wincing whenever my mom tells the bf she wants him to be her son-in-law.

Today - find the motivation to pack, most likely at 10pm

Saturday - pack car, drive 5 1/2 hrs to Sydney, drag stuff up 3 flights of stairs. Aka the annual moving back to college extravaganza. Alcohol of some variety will be consumed once this is achieved

Sunday - St Jeromes Laneway Festival, including Les Savy Fav and the Avalanches. Dancing will be involved

How long have you been with the boy? Not so long, no? Maybe six months?

How does mom know with such certainty that you should be making house with dude?

Today: Work on gov't grant and presentation; Beers this afternoon, then try my hand at this gorgonzola cream sauce for dinner. Probably watch 'Walk the Line' later on tonight. And drink wine.

Tomorrow: Watch some season 3 of '24' and sample some new wines.

Filets o' Fish. The subject of the expression is filet, thus it receives the plural s. "Of fish" is an adjectival subordinate phrase telling us of what the filets are.

I hear ya, sistah...
but at least I stayed on the WESTSIDE!!!, so it's all good...

New area = bevy of nice real (not fast) food places to chow down, including a mom-n-pop homemade pizza place about a block away...right next to a liquor store.

That's what I'd be up to tonight, if not for damned having-to-pay-a-deposit... At least I know that I have something to look forward to.
