I could have sworn Coldplay's "Clocks" was number 1.

They mean #1 on Billboards combined Hot 100 chart.

Coldplay got to #1 on Modern Rock and CHR and Top 10 Hot AC.

Those ones are more airplay based, whereas the Hot 100 considers sales more.

Katie would know more than I about it.

There have been quite a few #1's lately that got there due more to sales than airplay, particularly American Idol winner songs.

Right, I knew it meant Hot 100 but assumed "Clocks" topped that one as well. *shrug*

When he broke over here last year, I kept confusing him with Jamie Lidell.

I love how guys in their mid-20's can get referred to with "former Captain in Her Majesty's Navy" type titles, like they're retired or something.

This is one of the worst songs I've heard in a while. His voice is like salt water on an open wound (only without the healing effect). Ew!

The #1 aspect of this man's music is horribly dissappointing. Not only does he sound like he's getting his balls yanked as he sings the chorus, the lyrics are pretty doggone ridiculous in the verses.

Think about vocalists who purposefully try to sound like Rod Stewart and don't quite get there.

I think they played this song on the Stern show when they were doing their parody of Brokeback Mountain.
