I have actually seen progress in people's lives:
marriages, births, graduations, etc...

Most other places I've seen on the Net seem to be bastions of arrested development (not the show), but here we are all growing up (and old!?!?) together.

It's not Pleasantville so much as On Golden Pond.

And I mean that in a good, warm and fuzzy way.

We are actually real people and not just virtual simulations.
Odd.
And cool.

I agree Todd, it's nice. But with happiness also comes sadness. Learning about Tania's mom and other tragedies that affect the people of this board hurt that much more.

Completely agreed.
But again, it's also part of what makes this place "nice".
We are here for each other in sad and tough times, too.
