Just listening to the new album that has leaked. Very impressive. Anyone checked this out yet? Interested in checking out previous albums, are they any good?

Here's a song called What's inside of me

I have two previous albums, and have always enjoyed them. Will be interested in this one as well.

It took me a while to get into Built On Squares (I even hated it at first) but have come to love it. It's really very good. Their debut isn't as good, but still decent.

I like Built on Squares but I rarely listen to it. No staying power for me.

Same as everyone above, but i liked Built on Squares instantly.

Very good stuff, no staying power, first album isn't as good.

I like both their albums, and prefer Dream That Stuff Was Made Of. Looking forward to this new one.

Thank you very much cochroach man. I am loving me some more Starlight Mints, and anxiously await the new album.

For me it was always the Dreams That Stuff Was Made Of. I hope they get out and tour too.

Saw them last week at the Cains in Tulsa... The lead dude who is basically the Mints still sucks at engaging an audience, but he does now have a string section (2 violinist and cello dude) and it was beyond tight. Like fellow Oklahoman band Flaming Lips, me suspects they have some canned music going on because they sounded too damn good considering this is their first show while heading on to a lengthy tour.

My buddy totally disagreed tho and said I was high suspecting some lip synching... I did notice the latest output is less studio tricks and more song based if that makes sense. Unbelievably, they didn't play "popsickle"... good for them. anyway, the Mints may break big because the few new songs they played were even better than the former stuff IMO.

Ester Drang (another Oklahoma band) opened and their new stuff sounds good too.

if this song is typical of the rest of the album, then that sounds pretty accurate...it's less quirky than most Mints stuff...we'll see if that's a good thing

I had high hopes for early '06, and so far it's been disappointing...this album is one of my last hopes
