he covers springsteen and split enz live, as well. that "the spirit of radio" thing he does live is about 90 seconds, tops. it's really weird when he cuts a song to do it.

Acutally, short of an interplanetary/interstellar collision, with no gravity you would fly off in a straight line into the void (assuming time and entropy had allowed the atmosphere to dissipate).
