Never really heard much of his music.
This is pretty goddamn great.
Thank you Greg, for the burn!

Anyone else familiar with him?
Have opinions they want to add?

Want to hear a song from it?

I'd like to hear him sing Where Did You Sleep Last Night? I've only heard Mark Lanegan and Cobain do it.

Here 'tis:
"In the Pines"
http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=24JV ... QQKZCN7TL7

Note the alternate title. Also note the original lyric:
"Black girl, black girl, don't lie to me...

Hope you dig.

oh come on guys, national treasure. This is one of the only blues musicians I think everyone should at least be familiar with.

Also, I'm pretty sure there's a stack of free mp3s over at the library of congress site.
