Alright, so St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner, and I'm already feeling my liver rebel. What tunes would you include on a drinking-centric mix? Doesn't have to be Irish artists or Irish themed, but either a song ABOUT drinking, or a song you could do some heavy drinking damage listening to.

Reverend Horton Heat - It's Martini Time
Southern Culture on the Skids - pretty much any tune, but I'm partial to "Make Mayan a Hawaiian," "Corn Liquor," and "Soul City."

If you're abandoning the irish theme,

Moonshiner - Uncle Tupelo
The King is Gone (And So Are You) - George Jones
Take your pick of any of the Tom Waits drinking songs

Personally though I don't think it feels right not to listen to Irish music on St Patty's day. I always think I can make a good Irish mix until I sit down to do it and my proposed track list is too dominated by the Pogues, Waterboys and Saw Doctors. I need to pick up some Clancy Brothers this year.

Paper Airplane Pilots' "Anna (I'm Coming Home)" would be perfect for this mix.

I'm going to see them in Atlantic City this weekend and I've been listening to em all day. Their albums just reek of booze.............they make me want to drink massive amounts of Guiness and whiskey.

I'll add:

The Blarney Stone - Ween

Best of the bunch.
Props to Moxie for Passenger Side

and yeah, George Jones for when yer REAL DRUNK.

Hank, Jr: Family Tradition
Jerry Jeff/Cracker/Whoever: Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother
Damn near any faster paced songs from the 4 albums Beggar's Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main Street.
Maybe, one from each:
Stray Cat Blues (get the leer goin)
Monkey Man (start the hips movin)
Can't You Hear Me Knockin? (air Guitar)
Lovin Cup (to be belted at top volume while trying to drive home)

And, I'll throw in ALCOHOL or even Who the Hell Was in My Room Last Nite by The Butthole Surfers.

Good ideas, y'all... if I have a chance, I'll try and compile them all for everyone to listen.
