So I got back from a great weekend in Phoenix late Monday night (actually very early Tuesday morning), so I didn't do much yesterday. So what can I do today, besides around the house? I'll be going solo to day, because it's a wednesday and people work on wednesday. I have a week left before I go back to the big sandbox. Are there any good movies perhaps, or maybe something else. I am in Manchester, NH so there is no a real lot to do anyway. submit your suggestions now.

Record shopping.
Walk in the woods.
Ethnic lunch, or just a good sandwich.

I would go out to lunch and then take in a matinee. I haven't seen a new movie in months because I haven't had time to do what I'm recommending.

I would go to the used cd stores and comb thru the cheap bins. I love doing that when I can get a little time away from my family. (Never happens.)

Go to The Wild Rover and get drunk. There's a place around teh corner that is a pool room type place run by a heavy named Roy.

If you have a car, drive down to Portsmouth: there's more to do there. Good restaurants, and a pretty cool record store called, I believe, Bull Moose records.

Dunno how much snow there is, but you could drive up to the White Mountains, and maybe see where the "Old Man of the Mountain" used to be.

get a book and find a bar or coffeeshop that will let you read it undisturbed.

As do I... I'm thinking about doing some stuff today. But I'm just still at the 'thinking' stage.

I've never understood this. Why just not read in the comforts and quietness of your own home/apt? Assuming he lives alone or his roommates will be gone.

It's just nice to get out of the house sometimes. It also acts as a non-creepy way to peoplewatch. With a book in your hand you look much less voyeuristic. And if it's a nice day, you get some fresh air and sun as well. And you get to drink coffee/beer too! It really is a win-win situation.

I can see this.
But I like to be as comfortable as possible.Nuthin' like being spread out on a couch wasting the day away reading. Also I find coffeshops terribly noisy.

I don't know if this true everywhere but, in my city, Wednesday seems to be the day for bars to have karaoke night. There's at least three or four different places around here that have it on Wednesday night.

I used to go to the rover 10 years ago when I lived here. I don't have a car here or i probably would drive to Portsmouth.

I stopped buying comic books when I realized I never read them. I was just collecting them and putting them in a box in my basement. The ones I buy will probably be worthless in 20+ years, or after my son finds them. whichever comes first.
