Church of Christ is pretty severe.

I come from the "Depression-era Parents Still Thought It Was The 50's in 1975" school of legalist Baptists. Mom was Anita Bryant With A Mother's Heart.

Chuck(e) Diest? AH hahahahaha. whew.

My parents tell people that I am an "ecologist" (wrong) or a "biologist" (vague). I am pretty sure that they don't tell their church friends that I am an "evolutionary geneticist" (accurate).

Assemblies of God, it's uber pentecostal. Pentecostal:football :: Assemblies of God : rugby

I can't really deal with them at all. So tell me more about that Church of Christ colin, I want to know how similar our childhood nightmares were.

Should I even ask about an explanation on this Synod Lutheran thing?

I was only aware of the Lutheran church.

I went to Lutheran Sunday school and was confirmed, etc. but I have no idea about any of this.

I guess I didn't pay much attention at class. I couldn't tell you what form of Lutheran church I went to, I thought there was only one kind.

raised Free Methodist, son and grandson of ministers, very conservative... no movies, no bright colors, no dancing ever, no card playing, no tobacco nor drinking, no jewelry, no war.... I was a CO.

Now I am a faithful Episcopalian/Taoist with a dash of Tibetan buddhism.

I too was an altar boy and never molested. During my tenure we had one priest leave to get married and one priest leave due to an alcohol/drug problem. None were really creepy or suspected pederasts.

Baptized Catholic, was even an alter boy. But I've been an atheist for many years now.

Raised Christian. My parents didn't really seem to endorse any particular denomination. But they have been attending Baptist church for the greater portion of their church attending years.

Don't know what I am now...probably agnostic.

Presleyterian, and I've been thinking of getting ordained by the Church of the Sub-Genius.

Raised Southern Baptist. The open minded ones, for those of you that can fathom that.

I guess I neglected to mention that I am an ordained Reverend by The Universal Life Church, and have presided over the wedding of at least one already failed marriage.

I chuckle at the mere suggestion.

In Bob we trust.

Anybody still listen to the "Hour of Slack"? Damn how I used to groove on that.

Raised Episcopalian, which was barely a religion and easy to discard.

Now atheist/secular humanist.
