"Gin & Juice" isn't Phish, it's The Gourds.

This is the Napsterification of America.

Oh fuck, I had more, but my external drive has disappeared.

One time I saw "Sample In A Jar" listed as a Steely Dan song.

A funny story:

After hearing it on the radio, Neil Young's father called to congratulate him on the success of "A Horse With No Name".

I also had some dumb whore at my old job pick up a Warren Zevon disc off my desk and say, "Warren Zevon! I love him. My favorite song of his is 'Detachable Penis'."

Wasn't that King Missile?

Pretty hard to associate them with that "Werewolves Of London" guy.

I never knew who sang that, and I couldn't honestly say if I thought it was Aretha or not, but I can see how people think that.

Great thread topic, Sir Lump, as always.

As a kid/"yout" I used to think:

"People Are People" was by Tears for Fears

and

"Come Together" was by the Rolling Stones.

If you really listen to them you can understand why. Really.

Um... and I used to think "Bang a Gong" was by Wang Chung. Now that's just sad. :(

I'll post some "real" ones later.
