Gonna pop it in for the 1st listen after my next call.

Album closes with a cover of Iron Maiden's WASTED YEARS.

and unfort, it is watermarked, so you'll have to wait for someone with trechnical savvy to rip it and burn it....

comes out May 16th! :)

Based on your earlier recommendation I found and bought their first (?) RCA album in the used bin for 0.49...it was pretty good. Kind of reminded me of L7 for some reason.

How's this one? More of the same?

Gave it one listen so far.. A few more mid tempo tracks then I'd prefer. Hard to gauge afteron elisten. the first one grabbed me by the balls on the first listen, and went into my top 15 all time favorite records almost immediately.

The 'Wasted Years' cover is acoustic with a little symphonic background....It's nice, but i would have prefered to hear them tear it up loudly though.

Wow...I hadn't heard about the Maiden cover. The album's available thru iTunes next week, BTW.

I finally got to see them live last nite. They were really good - & they're also coming back next month.

About halfway thru it now...great stuff if you like the guitar riffs & shout-along choruses. Or ever threw up the devil horns unironically.

If their label shoved "On Your Speakers" up America's collective ass this band would be HUGE.

One other thing...this is the first time I've bought an album thru iTunes ( I'm a Rhapsody guy usually ) - the album's playing as one long track, with songs fading into each other like a medley. Is that normal, or is it maybe because they have this album exclusively 2 months before its street date? It's not a big problem - it was only $6.99, & I'll be buying the "real" version in May anyway...just thought it was kinda weird.

let me know wht you think of the maiden cover....

as trendy as it is these days to do cover songs on your cd, i think that cover of 'wasted years' could goto pop radio and slay! (no pun intended)

I like it. Dunno about radio play, but I like it.

If you haven't checked out Noelle's side thing ( The Organ Beats ) you should. She has a MySpace page...dunno the link, but if you Google "organ beats my space" it'll give it up.

I listened to this new album FOUR times yesterday...I NEVER do that.

Serious contender for Best Of '06.

I'm an idiot....It took me bout 18 hours to catch onto that line....

Bottom line, any band who names themselves after Mike Damone of Fast Times, has got to kick ass!!!

It's sitting at #1 on mine, & it's gonna take something spectacular to knock it off. I'm amazed that they were able to come thru all they've been thru the last 3 years, & they're even better.

Japanese version come out in a couple weeks, BTW...4 bonus tracks.

lol...I bought both of my copies ( US & Japanese ) of "Attic" used, so when I saw them live in March I bought 2 shirts out of guilt.

I'll be buying the import of "OHAN" new, though - I've become a completist of this band.

As of a couple days ago, the Japanese bonus tracks were available via the "audio" section of damone.net. I got 'em burned off.
