One of my most anticipated albums of the year came out last week, and it was definitely worth the wait. Vast continues Stokes's brand of electronic music, creating even richer tracks that seem to resemble mini soundtracks more than individual songs. He makes all of his own instruments, which gives his music a very unique, organic sound.

This particular album seems to be influenced by old-school Tangerine Dream and Aphex Twin's ambient recordings, but with more percussion in the mix and it's generally less abstract and repetitive. You can download one of the tracks below, which is one of my favorites and pretty indicative of the rest of the album.
