So, after a completely wretched day yesterday in which I pretty much alienated everyone I love whom I happened to come in contact with and garnered the "what the hell is wrong with you?" reaction, my day was brightened by a customer today.

This woman placed a special order at the woodshop I work for in November and I don't know what they were doing in the factory, but they were really fucking her around. As of this month, she was still waiting for three pieces. I've talked with her a few times, but today I was able to tell her they were ready to ship.

She had every right to cancel her order, or at least be upset with me, but she was friendly and hysterical. She said she was happy they had such a nice, humorous person dealing with customers and we proceeded to talk for at least ten minutes about our pets and I now know all about her only child and his girlfriend. I also got the "if you're ever in Jersey and want to visit my animals..." sort of thing.

Man, if I liked people more and everyone was like her, I would have thought I had found my life calling in customer relations.

And here, after yesterday, I was just happy I only nicked my legs five times while shaving this morning. heh heh

Okay, share your positive for today. Or rant about your negative. Or post pictures of monkeys attacking robots. Whatever.

My boss was unhappy with how I was setting up my route this morning and asked if I needed to go back in town for training on how to set it up "properly" so I volunteered to go again. I think it's like 3 days or something but he's gotta be some kind of dumbass if he thinks it's actually going to be useful and I'm not going to just sit in the class and sleep.

I suggested to my manger we do not charge shipping on this woman's order. She thought that a good idea, but said if the "big boss" (there's too many damn bosses here) had all ready told me to charge shipping, she wasn't going to ask otherwise. wtf? My superior wouldn't ask...

So when I saw the "big boss" I asked him. I told him I had made the suggestion to my manager, but she didn't want to ask him. I also mentioned I couldn't believe she wouldn't and she should really grow a pair.

He said the company would take care of the shipping cost.

I snagged five pretty slammin' shirts today @ Goodwill for $15.

While I was DJing the other night, a woman comes on the stage, sits down next to me and says, point blank, "I came up here because I thought you were really cute and I want to give you my number." And the number was taken. Shit like that NEVER happens to me in this town.

So yeah, I'm doin' alright.

today was pretty good. i had it off from work, so i woke up about an hour later than usual, and listened to some good music before i actually started my day. (sam cooke, jessi colter, mostly). all the while i'm talking to this girl i've been trying to hook up with forever, but she got a boyfriend, but now i'm a homewrecker, which is both cool and sucks. but im finally getting all this attention from females again for the first time in about 6 months. its sort of refreshing but is going to kill me in a month or so. um, then i hung out with one of my best friends, we went shopping and i got some excellent stuff at various thrift shops for dirt cheap. ate an awesome burrito too. and i'm gonna go out and hang with some more people in about a half hour.

negative thing about today: my lower back sucks.

I finally found someone to go to the Jenny Lewis show next Thursday with me. That's the only real news, good or bad, that I received today.

You'd think a free ticket to a concert with a $27 value would be pretty damn easy to unload on someone. But I had to practically beg people to go with me.

I can't complain about today, it's been better, it's been worse. I've got booze and cigarettes in me, so I'm a damn sight better than I was a couple of hours ago.

Yes. That's pretty much all we need to know.

Oh, and they're cute.

Oh, and (for Dri), at least one pair are Pumas.

Oh, and they're comfortable.

Oh, nevermind...

What I want to know is:

How the heck did you get 600-odd posts ahead of me? Weren't we neck-and-neck for a while?

Also, I assure you, those 600 posts were not about music.
