...is David Mamet's wife, right? I just heard a song of hers on the radio and it was quite likable. I don't know if this is fallout from the crush State & Main instigated, but i'm still surprised. anyone heard this?

I always assumed talented playwrights were gay. I'll look into this Pidgeon gal.

Yeah, she's been a (pro) jazz vocalist for years. I thought some of her stuff was a little convoluted, to be honest. Sort of like if I tried rapping, or something. She posts as a guest columnist on the Huff Post, with links to demos and the like.

That being said, the "Rebecca Pidgeon" type though is exactly my type. Crushed *hard* during State & Main.

True. Her acting hasn't quite reached the, um, professional level yet.

In the (extremely) late '80s she was in a decent band called Ruby Blue. They did a mildly celtic sorta thing, and their best song ("Stand Together") can be found on the Just Say Yes To Another Excess compilation (from 1990). I actually bought their album - it was competent, cautious, and dull - and ended up trading it in not long after.

That's the worst of the bunch in my opinion.

She's got weird rhythms as an actor. And Mamet is odd himself.

She's been a darling of the Audiophile community since her first album on Chesky records; The Raven. It has a version of Spanish Harlem that makes audiophiles cream with every utterance.
