For some reason I thought it was already known on this board, but her mom hates me. It may have been different if we started dating now, but at the time her mom didn't want her to get involved in any kind of long term relationship, so she made it virtually impossible to see each other. Over summer break (two years ago now) we were allowed to see each other once a week...no expections. My mom even talked to her once to see if she could change it to twice a week, but she didn't change her mind. We told her parents that we broke up and for the past year and a half they haven't known anything. Whenever we hang out she tells them she's going out with other people and my parents are perfectly fine with it. She comes over here all the time.

So to sum this up, I think her mom would commit homicide if she knew we were both going to Pratt (I'm hopeful, but first she's got to convince her mom to let her go at all, which is no small accomplishment.) I think if we did end up going and she told her mom that she unexpectedly met me in New York while we were both in college, she might be willing to give us a second chance, but for now it's not an option.

just get her pregnant, the mom should come around then.
