And there's not much time before you have to swim for that deserted island you see on the horizon. Before you head toward the island, you notice a rack of 10 CDs on the submerging deck.

You only have time to grab one of them.

Which one do you take with you to play on the deserted island's handy CD player?

Of this list -- Elvis

In reality: Exile on Mainstreet

I took the 'mats from this list, but this list is not really "desert island" stuff for me.

No, Barry Manilow isn't for me either. Sorry, that's all that was in the rack. :)

I picked Deep Purple because Ian Paice is one of my favorite drummers. I could find a couple of twigs and drum along all day long (when I'm not foraging).

Not a bad album, either. 8)

yeah no shit - based off YOUR tastes

i just think it would be more interesting to hear what people would actually bring with them as opposed to having a finite poll.

Replacements because it's one I should own but don't and I'm not sick to death of it yet like I am Hendrix, The Beatles and Beach Boys. I will say, Deep Purple - Machine Head was one of my favorites when I was in high school.

i was going to go with 'revolver'
but changed my mind to go with public enemy.

i'm not sure why.

for some reason i think it would keep me occupied longer.

They're not all my tastes. And I'm sure a thread could be started from your angle.

Elvis don't mean shit to he.

I'd probably go with Elvis, on the other hand, though I couldn't tell you why. I'm not usually a fan.

I think it's a fairly interesting question. Sure, not my favorite albums but an interesting twist on an old classic.

Barry Manilow. Because if I can only listen to one album for years and years, it had better be something I never, ever would want to listen to again once I got off the island. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let some stupid sandpit ruin Revolver for me.

Me too. Although I would have preferred "Axis: Bold as Love".

If it wasn't Hendrix, I don't know if it would have been anything at all from that list. (no offense)

I'd take "The Replacements - Tim", well, because it's my name, and I am not familiar with the disc, so it would be something new for me to experience.
But we all know that I keep my stash of Collective Soul in my pocket at all times for this reason.

BTW, does this island have a cd player? Electricity?
