I only counted about 7 or 8 must-sees for me. The rest I've already seen recently, haven't ever heard of (lots of these) or wouldn't mind catching but aren't big draws. A good list to be sure but probably not one I'll spend $130 and drive 4 hours to see.

i hate crowds, have no desire to see lollapalooza, and i love babies. if your mom can't do it, i'd help you out. i'm like a teenager when it comes to babysitting - i'll eat all of your food and talk on your phone while you're gone. i also come with good references from musicians around town. :D

the chilis played at the second annual lolla IN FREAKIN' 1992.

sure, they've got a new album coming out this year, but they might as well have added the gin blossoms and spin doctors to that rost. talk about past your prime -- i'm really really put-off.

it's just too many bands. I'm not a fan of having to choose between stages when there are two acts I really really really want to see running simultaneously.

I forgot that the Smoking Popes were back together.
That's cool.

Yeah but this year there are 8 stages and three days. Possibly longer days too.

So depending on how it's scheduled this could work out.

i also heard from a very reliable source that smashing pumpkins are going to headline.

a festival like this doesn't really appeal to me because i know that there is no way i'd see everyone who i'd want to, so i'd inevitably end up disappointed in some way. the lineup is fine. there are, like, 40+ more bands to announced, too.
