This space vampire from an old TV Buck Rogers episode scared the shit out of me as a kid. Anyone else remember him?

Now we are talking about something near and dear to my heart.

I’m a huge fan of Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles with The Vampire Lestat being my favorite book.

Usually movies can’t even compare to the book and these two are no exception. The producer on the DVD of Queen Of The Damned said they are seriously looking into turning Lestat and QotD into an eight to twelve hour cable show. I can only hope because these stories are amazing.

The answer is Lestat, no contest IMO.

Tom Cruz played Lestat in Interview With A Vampire and was horrified with the news originally. He actually did a pretty good job considering. See IWaV is just that, an interview with wimpy Louis (Brad Pitt). So Lestat was only shown through Louis’s eyes. In the grand picture Louis is really nothing but a good basic story.

Told you this was a great subject… To be continued.

Egads! My apologies, as there are so many others I forgot to mention:

Wesley Snipes as Blade:

Willem Dafoe as Nosferatu:

David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve in the Hunger:

Keifer Sutherland in The Lost Boys:

Christopher Lee as Dracula:

...I'm sure there are others too.

Now you're talking!

I love stuff to do with the supernatural especially Vampires and Witches.

There was a film version done of the story of Vlad the Impaler that actually puts him at a misunderstood angle and how it was the church that blew everything out of proportion. It's called Dracula: Dark Prince and it was made about 5 years ago I think. It was dark and beautifully done.

Otherwise, I agree with Bee Ok. I love Lestat. Though not as much as I loved Louis in the Vampire Chronicles. Louis was my favorite because I found Lestat to be too arrogant and I don't like arrogant.

Filmwise: I hated Tom Cruise in that role. Ick. And in Queen of the Damned Stuart Townsend did what Tom should have, Lestat was supposed to be sexy and dangerously seductive, which Stuart nailed.

Bee, have you read Ann's The Witching Hour series? I actually like them better the the Vampire Chronicles.

What about that Dark Shadows guy? 'Barnaby Collins'?

Right now my favourite vampire is Spike. No, it's Druscilla. No! It's the evil Willow from that alternate universe episode.

"Bored now."

Okay, I can't find an image of Vamp Willow licking Normal Willow, but that's what I was looking for...

End of discussion for me if it's about 'the best'-Klaus Kinski as Nosferatu beats them all. Utterly haunting and genuinely unsettling performance.....if you haven't seen it then I recommend you do asap.

Geez, thanks for dredging up that horrible memory... yes, I was scared of this one too, and I think I had to sleep with the light for about a week after this episode aired.

There's no contest. It's Count Floyd by a bloodslide:

[img][399:500]http://jarrett.nu/graphics/photos//behindthescenes/edgrimleyjr01lg.jpg[/img]

Why? Because of Monster Chiller Horror Theater, specifically "Dr. Tongue's 3-D House of Stewardesses"...
