I'm sitting here at the front of the spa and I hear two cracks from the front of the bldg.

NExt thing I know tons of water came flying through the front.

We just had about three inches or so of water covering the front half of the spa.

We now have ten people here from the construction company cleaning the water out.

My shoes are soaked as our the bottom half of my pants from rushing through gathering things.

Dumbass thing I did that I was just yelled at for-I went and pulled out all the plugs in the electrical outlets because that's where water was pouring through.

I was just told I'm damn lucky I didn't get electrocuted. Uhh yeah. That is true. But they were my first instincts.

Sigh.

Now I'm going home to change. I'm a wet person.

When my boss's husband was bitching about it I told him to thank his lucky stars and that we can't bitch cause it wasn't even close to what happened over the weekend with tsunami. So he said I was right and stopped bitching.



Edit: Turned out we has probably a good 10 inches but we had wet vacs going and people shoving the water out the front door as it was pouring in so only about 4 settled probably. They said some pipes in the walls burst and so we got the water. yay

Could this have something to do with them not having the heat on the other day? Seems like no heat, pipes, electricity, bad combo....

All we know is that it was a pipe that burst in a front wall of the spa.

When I had left at 5:30 they had cut two giant holes in the wall and they were repairing it.

Yeah, one of the guys who works maintenance next door told me I was lucky I wasn't fried and that my hair would be redder than it is now if I had. hah

My kind husband bought me a bottle of merlot on his way home from work so I can relax with that tonight.

My one boss burst into tears at one point she was so upset. Then tonight she called me and thanked me for everything I did today. Which made me happy.
