I can honestly say I'm blissfully unaware of Fall Out Boy. I don't think I would be able to point them out and pick one of their songs. Are these guys big with the pre-teen set?

Me too. Never heard a note.

me too. I think there is a LOT worse out there than Fall Out Boy. THe dude's voice is irritating, but at least they have a melody.

Hawthorne Heights on the other hand. One big bowl of yeti shit.

And yeah, they aren't as bad as Hawthorne Heights.

for those interested, this is a remix of dance dance by hip hop indie producer rjd2 that imo is pretty awesome, far better than the original

Hey! Don't knock Hawthorne Heights (so much). ONION music/pop-cult reviewer Kyle Ryan, late of the proto-anarcho-anti-capitalist avenger band New Blind (Bomb) Nationals, likes their early stuff.

And, boyo, dude knows his indie-emo-screamcore goodness.

oh, I had to drive to Worcester, MA in rush hour traffic to listen to SIX hours of this crap. That band from First to Last was definitely the worst. By the time Fall Out Boy came on I basically had managed to work my way into a meditative state where I could block all of ths music out.

Considering shiv's thread re: his decision to take a flask with him on this flight (to Austin?), I say I'm not being unkind... I'm just ascertaining her "reading comprehension" (cue: LooGAR) ability.

Devotion to the obner (and to the Obner) is axiomatic.

Also, I'm not the one inquiring about anyone's interest in scat.

I was searched and frisked before I went in. A flask would have been futile. Not to mention I was driving 2 15 year olds around, not so safe, eh?

but the truth really is I am stupid.

I consider their first CD a guilty pleasure. Don't spend much time looking at them though.

my 16 year old cousin is also into questionable music, but i'd love it if she asked me to chaperone a show sometime. it would make me feel so grown up. i gave her an arcade fire album for xmas '04 and said, "if you like it, i'll take you to their show when they come to town." haven't heard a peep about the album yet.

Their music features prominently in this --

which I saw this weekend.

It's actually quite enjoyable... The film, I mean.

I didn't have much of a problem with their latest album until I started to get bombarded from every angle by the damn thing. Now everytime I hear one of their songs a baby seal dies in my mind.
