Come see 3 of what will be this year's biggest British musical exports. The Brakes, Young Knives, and The Heights will ALL BE PERFORMING LIVE and meeting fans in the Virgin Cafe'. The show is FREE but purchase of the album(s) is required to meet the band(s).

I saw The Brakes at SXSW and you're gonna be blown away! Plus, I got to chat a bit with Eamon after the show -- he remains one of the sweetest guys ever! He's dying to come to LA and I of course couldn't encourage him more.

Apparently, there's some other band called The Brakes who are from Philadelphia. The Brakes we're referring to are the ones from the UK -- lead singer was formally with British Sea Power.

what I thought. I knew one was local, but I get them mixed up with the rakes and the other brakes.

a friend of mine went to a brakes show the other night and was all pissed to discover it was the wrong band.
