Phil, can you sing the contents of this thread to the tune of "My Oldest Son Came Home Today"

Cuz that's what I hear in my head.

Well damn, Phil. So what if I get an internship in chicago for the summer? What then? I mean I probably won't, but what if?

I'm planning the move for December at the moment, so you can still pitch in on groceries, help out with the occasional chore, and crash on the couch. Unless your internship pays for an apartment?

Parking is easy in my neighborhood.

Earmark that rent money for booze and strippers. I mean, earmark it for gas money to visit wifey.

Unless she's coming with you over the summer to chicago?!

I haven't heard back from my chicago company yet - they're a week overdue. Meanwhile, I talked to a certain coffee roasting company in seattle yesterday, and emailed the head of a local biotech firm who's interested in interns. Shit's so undecided.

But this is good news, that you'd be around if I did go down there. Booze and strippers my ass - I'd be coming home with a new guitar or two.

And I know all the good places to go guitar shopping...

Luckily she'll be three hours away. That's too far to drive over and smack you.

The good thing about having 10+ guitars is that you can sorta "hide" a new one in amongst the herd.

"Where did that red one come from?!"
"Oh that? I've always had it."

That shit worked till we'd been together a few years. She started learning about guitars... she can tell a strat from a tele from a les paul now. It's cute, but it means I gotta dig a bunker to hide new ones.

Women do that with clothes and shoes.
They do it with food too, but eat it before they can get caught.

Hey Phil, if you happen through CO on your way, you can crash at my place.
