So after living together for about 8 months I finally got around to rummaging through my man's cd collection. (Partly inspired by the Sun Ra thread)

It's really nice to have access to stuff I have been meaning to get into but do not own and have never really listened to. It's also fun to realize just how good my man's taste in music is. I brought some of the goodies to work with me:

Yo La Tengo - I can hear the heart beating as one
Sun Ra - Magic City
Ravi Shankar & Philip Glass - Passages

So what goodies have you recently discovered via kidnapping from roomies and/or lovers?

When I met my wife she had a small tiny CD Collection.

This was the music I did not have but like.

The The - Soul Mining
Mighty Lemon Drops - World without End
Roxy Music/Ferry - Streetlife
The Alarm - Standard
oh and from an earlier thread..

Jellyfish - Bellybutton

this thread title reminds me of my second girlfriend and i finally getting together.
she was the type teacher and after class one day she offfered to give me a ride home. i realized that we weren't headed in the right direction. she said that she was kidnapping me. i was thrilled and didn't leave her apartment for 3 days.

that said, she had the worst taste in music of anyone i ever new. anne murray, people. the ex-wife was into country but at least she introduced me to jerry jeff walker.
