Ok so I might be moving to CT- I just dont think this midwest mentality is for me. The only thing with CT is that there will be much less music.. although i will be relatively close to NYC. However, I have to be honest- I will not make that drive in for a show.. anyhow..discuss

I get you on this, and I've lived here my whole life. My last two trips to Austin have shown that there's a horrible combination of ennui and inertia in a lot of this part of the country and it permeates everything. A big reason, along w/ weather, for my plans to move.

But PM me your email address. I'd like to get your take on this phenomena and what it is that you notice about this place, where you think it comes from and why it turns you off so much.

Hope the girls are great and you're getting some sleep. Talk to you soon.

The only experience I have with the midwest is here in SE Michigan. I cant say I hate it, only that it hasnt really given me a reason to stay. I think the governor lives in a bubble, (and Kwame in his own)- and both seem to be ok in that they get elected. But what passes for leadership is abominable. I knew I was in trouble when I came here and saw how you make a left in Michigan...

before you move, you should go to Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo, and on your way to CT, you should stop at Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland.

Welcome to America, bubba.

As for the left turn...do you trun right and double back like Jersey/Philly? I hate that shit.

CT is a state that I have repeatedly called for being expelled ffrom the Union, so good luck with that.

Metro North.

The New Haven line is an interstate train, so they can and do have bar cars.

I don't mind New Haven, but most of CT can get fucked. I lasted 9 months in Stamford.

I am very familiar with CT.. I practically grew up there.. and it would be the New Haven area (my brother is in Stamford) . Anyhow, Ct may be boring..but Im a boring person now.. especially as, on a consistent basis, I am reminded of how ignorant people are.. as well as what passes for intelligence..

you say fuck Ct, I say fuck you... and the world turns round.

How is it that everyone doesn't want to live in Seattle. Seriously, move to Seattle. This place is amazing. Excellent 'vibe', gorgeous surroundings, good weather, mild seasons, great music scene. Gawd, I love this city.

depends on how you define good weather. i like the weather around these parts (summers of 80 degree weather with low humidity and mild but wet winters) but it would drive a lot of people batty. 95% of the country has some kind of weather problem so its best to not base a decision on where to live on the weather.

Come out in the summertime. Also, good weather in terms of "mild" weather... it's considered temperate rain forest zone... we get less rain out here than Atlanta and Houston.
