Hope this won't taint our #5 ranking. We're good.

I don't like the word "friendlys". I think exhibition game is much better.

I think it should count in the rankings if the Americans are at full or equal strength to what the Germans actually had. If the Americans were more short handed, then it obviously wasn't a true test for them. Either way they need to use this as a motivation game and improve drastically by the Cup.

I missed the line-ups and all the first half but i doubt it was full strength with Kasey Keller in goal. Chelsea/Newcastle match was on so i was concentrating on that. I will check out highlights later.

Most friendly matches have watered down squads so i don't think they should count. But maybe they do, i'm not sure, i was never really aware of rankings before the Obner threads.

Opening day is April 4th, but there's a game on the night before. There's nothing like Opening Day.

Another poor, poor attempt at sarcasm. USA was eliminated early from the WBC, baseball;s version of the WC. We shtink. Without steroids.

Haha. This made me laugh.
I'm glad my boy Ken Griffey Jr. was at least there to represent.

holy shit batman. i was kind of expecting us to at least draw in this spot. not lose. as much as i hate it, i suppose this justifies in some ways how i've been shitting on american optimism about the world cup. yeah, it's just a friendly but stil. yikes.

Yeah, this wasn't very representative. The US side only fielded 3, maybe 4, World Cup starters at most.

We were missing Donovan, Beasley, McBride, Reyna, Pope, Bocanegra, Oneugyu---I wouldn't put a lot of stock in this loss.
