We went from 13 to 10 total people.
I think I am safe for awhile. It's a good thing I don't totally suck at what I do like those people. ;)

Always a risk at a small company. I got laid off from my first job out of college because business started to drop off and I was in a worthless department. I think that company went from 15 to 10 employees by the end of that year.

Cincinnati (double N, not double T)

I actually got an email yesterday from another firm who wants to talk to me. I tried to call him this morning, but he was out. Maybe I'll try to give him a call now.

I wish the corporation that runs the arena I work for would come in and terminate some people, even though I really don't want more responsibility or work, just some more cash.

You're doing the right thing, man.

And don't assume they're letting people go in relation to their ability to do their jobs. I was laid off last year even though I was 3 times a capable as the majority of people that are still there.

When deciding who to and not to lay off, companies almost always keep the cheap.

They laid off the 3 youngest people.

I think Architects want to keep the most knowledgable people. They are harder to come by than cheap interns.

Morale is surprisingly high. Probably due in no small part to us going out for beers last night.
