Anyone heard these people yet ??? They are opening for the GO Team tonight, and I've seen their name popping up here and there , but haven't checked them out...Wondering if I should go early and check em out or just show up in time for the team...Any thoughts ???

I showed up a little late, but caught the last 3-4 songs of their set and I thought they were pretty good. I'ma have to check em out now...

and every single person I talked to is in love with Ninja now. I woke up this morning with the phrase "she's like a chocolatey vision in the night. wearing sweatbands." on my voicemail.

Had you ever been to the Starlight before? I get an uneasy feeling that that place is used as an uncuccessful strip club/afterhours bar when not booked for shows. for Mogwai I'm gonna pummel someone to get one of those booths though.

You should have mentioned you were going..We could have met up and had a beer at the crowded ass bar area....I liked what I saw, but didn't stay for the whole thing..I split when they took a break..I was just there on the solo because my girl didn't feel good and I didn't want to waste the tics..Alot of young bucks there and that made my ass feel old as hell..Plus it was way hot in there..I saw the Faint and TVOTR there last year..It kinda reminds me of an Asian version of that club in Scarface with the booths and stuff..I think it's an Asian dance club the rest of the time..

One thing I was really impressed with was all the instruments everyone in the band were playing and the energy they had...as well as the drummer, she killed it...

yeah I was convinced it was gonna be all kids and the bar area would be empty. I was wrong. They only came back for 2 songs after the break (one new one, ladyflash) so you didn't miss a huge amount.

the drummer slayed. I was probably more blown away by her than anyone else in the band. Even when Ian played the hooter.

Sounds like a plan...Next show I think I'm gonna do is Editors and Stellastar at the Troc. on April 1...Should be a good time..Glad I didn't miss much, after awhile in the heat, I just wasn't into it anymore and the break seemed like a good time to bounce..

word. I won't make that, but I'm hittin Mogwai and then the dude at Standard Tap told me that the Hold Steady is coming back soon, which I will stab people not to miss.
