Did you all know that Rob Zombie is Geffen records longest ACTIVE artist on their roster, having been there 15 years? Damn.

For some reason I thought Beck was there longer. But looking at allmusic, Zombie's 1st Geffen record was 1992. Hell, I didn't know White Zombie was even recording in the 80s. Weird.

Dead animal skin is good for that.

Most of his shows on this tour are sold out, which is surprising on one hand, in yet not on another. With how well Devil's Rejects did with the kids, I can see why his shows are being flocked to. Although, he never really lost his fanbase did he?

I was actually perusing myspace music, which is how this all came up, but I listened to his new single, "Foxy Foxy" and I wasn't down. Usually I can swallow his work, but this was terrible.

Surprising, but understandable...

I mean, how long has his brother (The douche from Powerman 5000) been on the label? It's gotta be at least 10 years now...

"Interscope" is a fairly new company - if it's not "Rico Suave", it's not heritage...

true. That fact came from Zombie's press release on myspace, so no doubt its probably not correct. Goo was 88/9...so it would predate, although was Caroline owned by the mega corporation at that point?

I saw White Zombie open for Gaye Bykers On Acid in '88. Pop Will Eat Itself was supposed to be on the bill, but had difficulty entering the States (go figure). White Zombie was signed to fill in at the last minute.

They were awful. I think the only live spectacle I've ever seen that was worse would be the Lunachicks or Laughing Hyenas.

I saw Powerman 5000 at The Rat in Boston in 95 I think. It was an enjoyable show then but I'm not sure I'd think the same now.

For sucking, or for actively continuing to suck?
