ugh.
i thought once you finally graduated with a philosophy degree they just gave you money to sit around and 'think'?
oh well, back to the rat race.
any suggestions?
office work is pretty low for desirable jobs on my list, but if i had to do it, i'd like to get into a non-prof [obviously not for the dough], b/c i'd rather help people out than go work for some soul-less financial insitution.
at this point, tho, i'd probably have to take anything that came my way.
joy.
Dude I got the non-profit job when i graduated. It sucked. It seems that I am better at supporting these organizations from the outside. TO but it bluntly this job made me feel like I hated poor people. I worked for a non-prof was located in the housing projects. I would set up events and people basically would not come. We would provide free food and then have to police people so as not to try and take it all and sell it. Diabetics would come just to eat sweets.
I am better now that I can go back to supporting the poor in theory.
Get an office job. At least that way you can loathe middle class suburbanites.
