Sam Jackson has certainly had enough of those snakes, but apparently he's had enough of those cuddly penguins too. The actor has signed on to provide the voice-over in the upcoming mockumentary FARCE OF THE PENGUINS. Jackson would provide an R-rated version of the commentary that Morgan Freeman provided for MARCH OF THE PENGUINS. Bob Saget, yes the Bob Saget, wrote and directed the film, which uses existing documentary footage to spoof MARCH while telling the tale of a penguin looking for love amongst his "hedonistic" buddies who're just looking to get laid. I'll admit that when I first heard the idea of Bob Saget directing a MARCH OF THE PENGUINS spoof, I thought it sounded like just about the lamest possible idea. But Saget has amassed a pretty impressive voice cast that in addition to Jackson includes comedians Norm MacDonald, Dane Cook, Carlos Mencia, Lewis Black and Gilbert Gottfried along with Alyson Hannigan, Jamie Kennedy, Jon Lovitz, Tracy Morgan, Mo'Nique, Jason Alexander, James Belushi and Whoopi Goldberg. Oh and I'd be remiss in not mentioning that Saget's "Full House" co-stars John Stamos and Dave Coulier will be around as well. ThinkFilm has snatched up the rights to the film and has set a late-summer release for the film.

I saw him mention this briefly on Letterman. That is a pretty impressive voice cast, though.

I saw March of the Penguins over Spring Break, and it was really fantastic. I haven't been that blown away by a movie in a long time. Jaw-dropping cinematography and a superb score. Freeman nails the narration, as he should, being Easy Reader and all.
