this PFM review

sounds like this band could be something I would probably like. Has anyone heard these guys? Thoughts?

I have 2 songs - one is good (The Funeral), and one is fucking excellent (The Bass Song-Demo). Two songs do not a great band make, perhaps, but these two are good.

Shit, gimme a sec and IYSI.

I like Band of Horses. They're one of the better bands that have come from Sub Pop lately.

I really like The Funeral.

Interestingly enough, the lead singer kind of sounds like Black Francis to me, at least at moments.

Yeah I saw it, among other things, today but passed. I would really like to own this. Maybe sometime in the future.

"Bass Song" is on the album as "Our Swords." VERY My Morning Jacket. In a good way.

Glad to hear you guys are liking this. BOH are good friends of me and my gal, and we have been enjoying their stuff for a while. Have to admit I wasn't super impressed until I saw them live (although that was before this new Sub Pop album, which rep's them well), but their live show is excellent. Check it out if you get the chance.

Some people on this board would be happy to know that Ben (up front) fucking LIVES in his GA Dawgs hat.

I guess some were members of Carissa's Weird (a cool band that KEXP used to play quite a bit). I thought they were from Seattle. Carissa's weird never really took off but were always quite good. Hope to pick up the album today because it was sold out yesterday at the fine Milwaukee record store here.

Strangely, this will make me listen to the tracks I have had for over a month

The bartender was playing this on Sunday and pointed it out to me. I liked what I could hear over the jackasses at the bar, so I'm picking this up today or tomorrow.
