Anyone else in LA going? It's not sold out and at my fave club, The Troubadour.

Throw something flammable on Ko Melina. She's awful.

Is Jim Diamond still in the band? 'Cuz without him they would've had no bottom end at all the time I saw 'em. Ko's not really there for anything except looking kinda cute and providing the amp fuzz.

Have a great time. I haven't seen them in a while and they're always a blast.

I wish Jim Diamond was still in the band, but Mick Collins is one of the coolest mofos in rock, so's all good.

You've gotta be kidding. She's wicked.

And um, "no bass end"? What are you guys talking about? The whole band is bass.

Aural, if you haven't seen them already.... they're amazing live.

I agree with all of these statements.

That's what I would've thought. 2 bass + 2 drummers should equal a whole lotta bottom end. But they DIDN'T BRING IT. Those two drummers didn't add up to a single good one. And, like I said, Ko doesn't play bass. She HAS a bass, but she couldn't play it even if you offered her free shag cuts for the rest of her life. Even on the albums she's credited with "fuzz" instead of bass.

So live it's up to Jim and Mick, who are both pretty awesome. And now Jim is gone.

Love Ultraglide, but have nothing else of theirs, except a song on a Mix` (shiv?). Would also love to see them live.

I would guess you happened to see them on a bad day.

Ive been to over 15 Dirtbombs gigs and they have BROUGHT it and OWNED it at every one. Best live band by far.

Yeah Troy Gregory(Witches on Parade) is now the Jim Diamond replacement and he is a great bass player.

As for the Ko comment, Tom Potter the guy ko replaced has been credited with "Fuzz" on previous albums as have the guys before him. She plays hard and the whole bass sound has always fucking kicked.

Hell Mick Collins can sit there and play on his own for all i care, he is the coolest mofo.

Oh yeah any chance of a small review Tania. Very jealous. They have just released a split with The Black Lips and they sing an Eurythmics cover.

Great show! My first exposure to The Black Lips -- they tore it up! Count me as a new fan! Dirtbombs were da shit -- I have to admit, though, Ko is not much of a bassist...Troy is definitely the one who carries the bassline. As someone who is not familiar with their work, I totally dug the show, had loads of fun, and am glad I went!

Sweet that sounds great, i must check black lips out.

Jim Diamond/troy always have carried the bassline, thats the point. Tom Potter, ko, Dion Fischer etc etc they play out about with da fuzz!
