...with someone's email address? i.e. signing them up to receive porn spam, etc. surely there are some evil geniuses here.

Despite strong desires to, I never actually did do anything to that person.

However, I almost feel like somebody did, to me, because the shitload of spam I've gotten lately is ridiculous. And my junk mail folder doesn't catch any of it.

i've never signed anyone up for spam, but i am guilty of deleting someone's inbox, address book, sent, trash, and saved email folders.

register them on the "save chocodiles" website.

I don't believe in violating email addresses

Exactly. I have gotten into a friend, turned enemy, turned friend again, though I never deleted anything -- I think I read just one message, as it were -- but I was tempted.

Here's a hint, then: never make your e:mail password 696969123.

i once guessed a complete fuckwit's password (it was RUGBY for fuck's sake), and changed his password to "Aussie Rules".

I don't expect anyone to get this joke except for the few who may know what aussie rules is.

I then sent a bunch of emails.

I did it to my ex-husband. I found out he was sending very nasty emails about me (i think he was too dumb to realize that some of the emails were going to my friends) so I deleted everything in his account. I don't feel good about it (very immature), but whatever. We laugh about it now.

i mean, i get it. but maybe the connotation is lost on me...is this some kind of an insult to the person? do people very clearly prefer one or the other? is there some sort of animosity towards aussie rules among rugby fans and/or vice versa?

and in bonus coverage, this thread title went from having an incredible amount of potential to being absolutely destroyed by the ellipse. for an example of how this thread should have gone, please see opa!'s recent contributions to the ob.
