Who of my LA brethren will be in attendance?

(It's RnR week, baby!)

I know...but, there may be others among us who may show. It's a sold out show.

the national is the best live band that i've seen in years. I'd go if i was you. and i'd make damn sure that they played "available".

i loved them in september, not nearly as much last friday, but they're still a very good live band. "abel" and "murder me rachael" are simply incredible live.

I did not like the National live at all. Really boring.

i wouldn't say it was the "worst" live show i've seen- but it was very disappointing after hearing all the hype about them. they were extremely boring.

i'd also like to thank pumachik for lowering my expectations on the national so much that, when they put on what was in reality one of the five best live shows i saw last year, it felt then like one of the best shows i'd ever seen because i expected so little from them. hopefully, i can do the same for her one day.

aural, talk to matt after the show. he's drunk and sort of crazy on stage, but i got the nutjob to hug me on friday and he's really sweet.

is cloudroom opening? (i think matt might've said that friday was their last date with them) if they are, check them out. i expected nothing from them and liked their set almost more than the national's.

Will definitely try to chat him up, Red!

As for Cloud Room, nope, they're headlining their own show on Saturday night which I will also be in attendance for. Sidenote: It's a "special" show in that I'm taking my niece to her second show ever. She doesn't know the band but is stoked about going. Film School is opening for them.

As for National's opening bands, they are: Talkdemonic and Baby Dayliner. Can't say I've ever heard of 'em.

He seemed to be really gracious and shy when I told him "good show" as he was walking by the merch table at their show in Chapel Hill last fall.

Ooh... Talkdemonic wasn't very good. I stayed downstairs for their set.

I am SO jealous that you're seeing Film School open for Cloudroom. Wish I could go to that show. The singer for CR, in addition to being HOT is really nice. I was just all kinds of chatty on Friday.

^^ pictures from friday's show. I can't figure out how to do a hyperlink or whatever they're called. If anyone knows, hook a sista up.
