They have a new record out called Reverse, which is not too bad. Don't know much about them apart from they are an LA guitar/drum duo. Hard to pin down but they sound a wee bit like Sebadoh, then Black keys and they have a few gypsy folk numbers.

Listening to the tracks on their myspace profile, there's a definite Belly/Throwing Muses vibe, but with a more girly-pop voice. Reminds me of The Cucumbers, actually.

They might not still be around. An lo-fi indie pop group of the late 80's-early 90's. They may have broken up or morphed into some other sort of sound. Don't know, lost track of them.

Oh yeah they do sound a bit like the cumcumbers(just checked the myspace) apart from they are not really bubblegum and have a harsher sound than that. That song i posted, before the vocals came in, really reminded me of a Sebadoh song.

Personally I think they sound like a mellowed out Courtney Love fronting Throwing Muses while exploring her Jewish heritage.

Yeah almost all adaptations of Lovecraft suck. His estate must given out permissions to every schumck horrormeister with a camera. Most of the ones I've seen have next to nothing to do with the original stories.
