I've seen this band's name a lot in LA, but I've never seen 'em perform and frankly, don't know much about them. Have I been missing out on something? Are they someone I should check out?

I have and like their album A Better Version Of Me but haven't liked what little I've heard from other albums. Never seen them live.

A Better Version of Me is great. Don't know much of their other material.

yeah. i want to say they came out with something like 2002 approximately that i was not impressed with at all. add this to the list of reasons i'm glad i don't live in LA : hearing their name mentioned

They're one of those bands that's had a few transcendent moments mired in career of mediocrity. And I mean mediocrity in the literal sense, as in not bad, just not very good. I love the song "tinfoil" off of their first record. The Atlantic ep is pretty good, and A Better Version of Me had a few good moments. "Ears Ring" is pretty catchy too.

They had a lot of hype for a while. I think it kind of suffocated them.

I have Long Knives Drawn (2003 release, might be what you're thinking of) and I never really went back for repeated listens.

Yeah, I'm also riding this bandwagon.

I remember first hearing of them in '99, back when !!! was still based in Bal'mor', and known as Click Click Click. Emo was so much simpler, then.

Well, I can safely surmise that this doesn't sound like a band of interest for me. And not just based on your opinions, I checked out their website and the music did nothing for me.

Thank you!
