Here's the deal:

We pool our money, four grand ain't that much. We buy this sucker, fly in and road trip to Chicago or some other Obner hub. Resell it, and tell the story for years.

Damn. I usually don't get fooled on the year. I blame the shitty picture. 289 in a big car like that don't haul a lotta groceries.

The 289 shouldn't be too bad, I get decent oomph out of a stock 260 in a much heavier car. Plus, it's $4K OBO.

You thinking 3 grand and a few mix cd's?

68 had discs, too. So it's got That goin for it. I just prefer the fastbacks, strongly.

Only info from the ad:

289 V8 auto.

Dunno if it had the disc option, I've got drums front and back on my '70.

'67 they started offering discs up front. It helped.

Dad sold his galaxie (427, high compression) back to his brother, so he's down to just the cobra (428). Wife and I got down there a few weeks back, and took a ride. I broke the rear end loose for a split second going through an intersection... I forget there's a lag on an 1100 cfm carb when you stomp it. But I got it back in line without incedent - just scared myself a bit. It looked cool though!

1100 on a 428 :rawk:

I've got a 750cfm Speed Demon sitting on a Victor Jr. intake, 351W crate. I remember you telling me about the Galaxie, awesome car.
