he seems very literate and versed. good for him, i guess. it was kind of funny when he trashed billy joel, however.

VERY SLOW AND BORING TODAY

I love this dude, too. His first book was pretty cool, but I really liked that show he had a while ago. I saw one where he was in Vietnam and Cambodia, off the beaten path, eating with locals and stuff. Seems to live a fairly good life. Envy.

Pretty sure his teevee show is starting a new season imminently (if it didn't already happen this past Monday). The first season was great- he's almost as cynical as I am.

I liked Kitchen Confidential because he was a dick in that book. Somehow, the same quality on television makes me want to kick him in the balls. He comes off like some poofy chef dude posing as a hipster hardass. I'll still read him, though.

I bet he wouldn't really want bone marrow in the bone for his final meal.

After all, bone marrow ain't all it's cracked up to be.

honestly, i'll bet he would.

and agreed. it's not an intense flavor. i was expecting more when i tried it after hearing some of my favorite chefs rave about it.

I thought he wasn't a shef, but just a critic.

I hate people that are so out to be the "rock stars" of their retarded profession. That Blow Dry dude is the chief violator here.

that hairdresser with the reality show? He's the most vainglorious douche on the planet now that Darren McGavin is dead.

uh, he's the last person that's out to be a rockstar. in fact, he shreds all of the Food TV chefs that are out to get famous, making fun of their "towering creations" along the way.

well, not in the way say Bobby Flay or some of those other Food TV tools are.

Anthony has led a fucking crazy life, and people are interested in it. he was approached to do his shows. he didn't "try out" for one on TV.

I'm ashamed I know this... Jonathan Antin. My husband and I call him Patrick Swayze. I can't believe he's not gay.

And I *HATE* Bobby Flay, Dalen. Now that's one arrogant prick.

btw, read "Kitchen Confidential" and you'll have new respect for Anthony Bourdain.
