Lying flat on your back for 24 hours after having a spinal tap. (Checking for MS.)

Being wheeled in for brain surgery.

On the positive side:
Seeing your children born.
Getting a hug at the end of the workday from those children.

Life is a jumble of glory and shit.
Drink it all in and live in the moment.

Yeah I know that I'm being maudlin today.
