but on the plus side, I got high with the Changes all weekend as they recorded in the adjacent studio... and they shared some of their absinthe with us

record's allegedly done. I don't even want to think about any alternative. I think the mixes sound ok, but at this point my ears are pretty useless

if only I didn't have to go back to the studio ALL NEXT WEEKEND to record for ANOTHER band...

Some people put in 8-9 hour days EVERY day, you know. And we aren't doing fun shit like mixing music and hanging out with cool rock stars... ;)

Well, I'm about to put in another 8 hour day at my day gig, as I also did eight hours a day every day last week FWIW...it's not like I don't have a job.

EDIT: although damn, it WOULD Be cool to do that eight hours a day every day instead of what I'm about to go do :)

And this weekend we'll spend 18 or 19 hours in the same studio tracking new songs!

It's Strobe, no? Please tell me it's strobe. If it was W2W again I would have to commit murder.

Changes record sounds REALLY good so far. It's very synth oriented in a lot of ways. Tons of vocals too, I guess all four of them are singing now!

I'll YSI some 3/5 tracks once they get back from mastering. Hell, we'll probably stream the album from our website.

Which engineers are getting ornery?

It's more endearing than anything, but Brad took 4 hours to mix one song yesterday. I think he's getting possessive about the songs, in a good way. If anything, it's really nice to work with someone who really likes the material.

I'm just worn out and whiny, that's all
