All I know is that Jack is now recording with The Ranketours (sp?) and a local station made an allusion to that fact the that Stripes are no more, but stopped short of actually saying as such.

Anyone know?

sounds pretty unlikely, but who am i to argue with a local radio host with no verifiable information?

White Stripes Not Breaking Up
Monday, March 27, 2006

Jack White has spoken out about the future of his band The White Stripes. He says contrary to all the rumors, the duo is only taking a short break while he tours with his new band, The Raconteurs. Jack says that new Stripes songs have been written, and he'll record them when he finds "two minutes."

So apparently it's not just me.
Now, I don't feel like quite an idiot.

There's only Jack and Meg. Unless they hate each other, it's pretty hard to take the white from the stripe. Even then Jack could just call himself the White Stripes even without Meg.

Would that he did.

And Todd, can you blame people for rolling their eyes a little that you didn't even bother to google "white stripes break up" before posting the question? It's the first book of the post QA bible.

Never been one for netiquitte, I suppose.
In person, I'm polite as hell.

I guess it's like refusing to order a coffee by "Grande" at Starbucks. It's still a goddamn "Medium" to me. And it's just easier to be spontaneous without doing any research.

I suppose the spontinaiety (and relative anonymity) of this medium is the same reason many people on boards like these find it easy to be nastier to each other than they would be face-to-face.

On soy. Goddamnit. Soy.

In case you spill on your sweater, soy comes out more easily than milk.
