I just returned from Tampa. Let me give you the scenario.

Wisconsin misses a field goal. I am sitting in the Georgia alumni section.

I yell out "Hey Wisconsin, your fans are great but your team sucks!"
At which point some 45 (note I am just a little over half her age) year old wicsonsin bitch two rows in front of me turns aroung and yells "Well your team is good but your fans suck!"


Next play

I cup my hands and i scream at the top of my lungs "aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh in her general direction.

She turns around an calls me an asshole. I tell her that their appear to be plenty of seats in the Wisconsin section. She tells me that she paid for her tickets in that section. I comment that she ought to support her school by purchasing the tickets through them as it appears few alumni have. Her husband tells me to shut the fuck up. I tell them to turn around and watch the game as it is pretty good.

Now several neutral fans look to me as though I am in fact an asshole. Neutral people should watch the game on tv. Anyhow my wife was not to pleased with the whole ordeal. Before they said anything I was maligning their team, in general. If you sit in the oppositions section you should come to expect it. I guess Wisconsin fans are amateurs, and I am in fact an asshole.

After the game, as i exited, I certainly appreciated several Wisconsin fans pointing out that they could read. Since my wife was already pissed I shut up. But people in Wisconsin don't really have much to talk about. I don't exactly consider Milwaukee the essence of cosmopolitan life.
