Anybody a member? It looks interesting, but I'm not sure whether it would be worth it. They seem to have about the same selection as BMG's music club.

It looks like they have the same exact selection as BMG. Are they affiliated?

I don't know. There was a banner on AMG's site that I clicked on.

I think this copyright notice on the bottom answers your question.

I'd hate to bring this old topic back, but tonight I've been really looking through the site...and it has a lot of great cds on there that have been on my list forever. It's got complete discographies for quite a few awesome bands too. So I'm wondering if anyone is using this service and how the shipping is? Obviously it's free...but does it take forever to reach your door or what?

If they're affiliated with BMG, I wouldn't worry. It doesn't hurt to try it out. You can always cancel if you don't like it and it's only $5.99 per CD. You can't go wrong there.

Awesome.

I actually kind of rehashed this topic for you also, cuz in another thread you said you wanted to catch up this year. That's what I want to do. This place offers a good chance.

Yeah, I'm always trying to catch up for some reason. I buy and buy CDs, and yet, I feel like I don't have enough. It's like a bad habit. :D

I think that sentiment is shared by everyone on this board...even Billy G.

Wow.

So, what comes out to a better deal? This, or waiting for BMG's crazy sales?

Well I signed up.

First album in queue, shipping tomorrow:
-Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (crazy I never owned a legit remastered copy)

Second album queue, for February:
-The Stooges - Fun House

Albums I bought today, 5.99 each.
- Wu-Tang - Enter The Wu-Tang (favorite album of all time. I only have the ghetto ass cassette from when it came out).
- GZA - Liquid Swords (lost my cd)
- Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele
- David Bowie - Low

yep.

Hmmm...I just joined BMG for the 391st time. Will they let you be in both clubs at once?
