So they buried Hanso at the slave ship?

Most of this stuff started back in the early '80s?

Oh, and... "There are dragons here"???

Goddamn.

Now that was interesting.

Was Libby on the plane because she was following Hurley? Because she was obsessed and/or in love with him ever since back then?

I hope Eko's not building a church. It better be something more interesting than that.

And I like the teaser that the whole island is just a dream sequence/insane person's imagination. That's a nice way to dispell rumors about the show.

That episode didn't have many surprises, except the bit about the deck collapse, but it was still pretty cool. Libby has a good crazy woman lip curl, too.

And I had to do a Simpsons ha-ha at Sawyer when he couldn't take Hurley.

Are we led to believe that lockdown initiated in the hatch because of the food drop? And that the clock ran out and reset itself and the clock means nothing.

If that's the case, then the food drop must happen fairly irregularly. Because that's the first time we've seen that happen since they've been in there.

It seemed like a safe episode to me. I didn't hate it but I thought it was far less interesting than the past couple have been.

It had a bit too much pathos in it, but Greenwood is always good for a pale, creepy guest shot and it probably serves as set-up for future crucial plotpoints.

The imaginary friend thing went on for too long. They shouldn't pretend these things aren't obvious.

One of the flashbacks should have been Hurly breaking the deck, cuz you know, fat people breaking decks is funny.

My theory is that the episode was poking fun at the people who thought that last season would end with everything being a dream.

They also did mention the numbers a few times in the episode:

connect 4
the deck was only supposed to hold 8 people
but it had 23 people on it

Didn't catch any other number references for 15, 16, or 42 though.

I don't know. I think this is far to simple. I don't think "Gale" is meant to be trusted yet - he's just getting under Locke's skin because it seems like it will suit his needs at some point in the future. From the preview, it looks like the clock resets at some point to 215:00, which means something must have happened. I'm guessing that we're supposed to doubt the code and button-pushing after tonight, just like Locke is beginning to, but that there's really something signficant related to it.

But, yeah, the imaginary friend thing went on too long, way too long after we all knew he wasn't real.

Libby = crazy hot.

Her tits in that t-shirt were the only things that saved this episode. Otherwise, it was shit. Shit. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

FILLER.

They have a motherfucking Other spy locked up in the hatch, and they spend 40 of 42 minutes dwelling on insanity due to obesity. Fuck that noise.

that made the episode for me... i looove sawyer. i need me some more sawyer.

yeah i was a bit disappointed by this episode but still enjoyed it... but i thought it was going to focus more on gale & who he is, but obviously they're building that up. is he a "good" other or just fucking with them that he's scared of the "others?"

and yeah, the imaginary friend thing went on way too long.

but my question is, how did hurley and libby end up on the same plane? was she following him?

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S UP WITH WALT!!!

RA!!!!

I'm impressed that Jorge Garcia went through with all the pigging out scenes, particularly the eating peanut butter off the ground one.

Obviously he has a problem with obesity in real life but was willing to address it honestly in a fictional setting without seeming awkward or self-conscious about it. Dude may have a face the size of Benji Molina, but he can act.

Yeah, that's exactly it. I wouldn't have minded part of the episode dealing with the Hurley story, but usurping nearly the entire show for it seemed somewhat unnecessary, at least right now.
