Because I haven't heard of one. And has anyone heard the new single? I'm curious to hear how they sound going back to their rock sound after the last 2 albums.

also, Bobby Gillespie is featured on a Mekons song with Alan Vega? HUH?

Not what you asked but the UK release date is June 5th.

I'd imagine it would be the same date though.

EDIT: +1, lazy ass American record shop clerks.

Intrigued. Didn't care much for Evil Heat, but XTRMNTR was hot. Real hot.

I think on avg. their more electronic albums are better than their Stones-based albums.

but yeah either way I'm psyched. I really hope they can tour the states.

i'm assuming you read the pitchfork news piece this morning?

i'm intrigued also, especially since they're reporting they are moving away from the xtrmntr/evil heat direction...back to their more "stonesy" roots.

If they could somehow manage a mix between the best stuff Vanishing Point & Give Out.... XTRMNTR is one of my all-time favs, but I think they are more of a rock band at heart than electronic.
