so apparently Matthew Fox's favorite bands are the Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Modest Mouse and the Black Angels. I don't know why I felt the need to post that, but there you are.

They also did mention the numbers a few times in the episode:

connect 4
the deck was only supposed to hold 8 people
but it had 23 people on it

Didn't catch any other number references for 15, 16, or 42 though.

I just read this on that filmfodder blog, though I have no idea where this was mentioned last night.

Quote:
The doctor tells him: "23 people were on that deck and it was built to hold 8." He assures Hurley that he was not the cause -- that deck was going down with or without him. And, beyond that, police reports concluded that criminal negligence could be assigned to the 4th, 15th and 16th partygoers.

I enjoyed it, too. Hurley's imaginary friend thing was pretty obvious early on, but it was still a fun episode.

it was when hurley was talking to the doctor and the doctor was trying to assure hurley that he was eating to punish himself.

So it looks like Jack's off to find Beardy next week. In hopes of swapping Henry for Walter.

Regardless of what happens, this is bound to be interesting and lead to some good revelations.

Aside from Sigur Ros, this explains a lot about why I don't care for him or his acting skills.

I liked the episode, but just can't buy Libby being attracted to Hurley. Nothing this season will top Jin busting a gut at Sawyer getting his ass kicked by Hurley. It was nice to see Eko again, if only for a brief scene.

Hey, she dated Drew Carey for a full season or two, didn't she?

And she is crazy.

I think he means in real life, as both Libby and Ana-Lucia got DWIs in Hawaii a short while back. I still remember how hot Libby was when she played the wife (or was it just the girlfriend/fiancee) on Titus. Great rack.

so it seems a lot of tomorrow's episode is a Rose/Bernard one. and there's gonna be some substantial Eko.

and I'm hoping some dead others, but we'll see.

I'm really hoping it's not a church. It's just so obvious.

Maybe it's an outhouse.

Would it be interesting if he sacrificed Charlie at the alter?

It's about time!
Though, this makes the two week wait even worse.

I agree with Bernard. I liked Eko better when he just hit people with his stick, too.

And Rose's situation shines a light on some things. The island makes people stronger? It healed Locke and Rose up upon arrival and it would explain why Ethan moved like a super-soldier when he was kicking Jack's ass. So is it making everyone stronger and the rest of the castaways just haven't really noticed it affecting them?

I'm also glad that some of the background characters are finally being mentioned. Such as frozen yogurt guy. With thirty to forty additional people supposedly living around the camp, it's pretty ridiculous that they're never mentioned, spoken to, talked about, or involved in anything in any way.

I thought that episode was a big letdown.
