DAMN!

Falcons open the season at Carolina. That should be a good one.

Speaking in terms of the Falcons playing teams who Obners pull for:

We play Dallas at home, Redskins and Bengals away.

Got the Steelers in Atlanta though.

And a Sunday night game vs. Seattle---we'll finally get that Seahawks/Bears matchup we were all hoping for last January. :D

Marco,

Did you look at the Seahawks entire schedule?? It has to make us favorites to win the NFC again - there will be some tough games for sure, but on the surface it is one of the easier schedules I've seen in a while....of course this could all change......I do feel great about starting the season in Detroit though - of course we made too many mistakes the last time we played on that field :(

I'm glad the Bengals only got 1 Monday night game since they will be on ESPN this year.

I don't know CW---it looks a lot tougher than last year's. Granted, playing the Cards, Niners and Rams twice a year never hurts, BUT---@Denver, @KC, @Chicago and @Tampa doesn't look too easy.

I do like what they've done this offseason, though. Losing Hutch was tough, but to turn around and sign Peterson was fantastic. The D is where they needed to improve, regardless. If they sign Ty Law this week, it will go down as one of their best off-seasons ever.

With the parity in the NFL I don't know how ANY team can be an overwhelming favorite to win shit.

There is always a team that comes out of nowhere (Seahawks last year) to compete and injuries to key players can take you right out of it.

You Seahawk guys won't be sneaking up on anyone this year. I think you'll be lucky to go 10-6. Then again that might get you in the playoffs.

Anyone know the status of Carson Palmer?

Ty Law is over the hill.

True, Chicago doesn't have a good history on MNF however they are playing St. Louis and Arizona on Monday this year.

They're @ STL too, I'm definately going to try to get tickets for that.

Yeah, if leading the NFL in interceptions and being voted to the Pro Bowl last season makes him over the hill, then I agree.

Just sayin', wouldn't want him on my team at his age. He's at the end of his career.

Looking at the Bears schedule, it looks pretty damn tough. Three straight road games on the east coast. They play the Jets/Giants back to back weeks on the same field.

Yeah, I'd agree that it's a bigger risk than signing a 25 year old, but it's hard to argue with his #'s from last season. I expect they would sign him for a large, but short term contract.

bears schedule is the easiest of all the nfl teams based on last year's record

He is preparing to be ready to go opening day.
I think he is healing faster than anticipated.
God I hope so, since our backup QB prospects ain't real good this year.

Shouldn't the Eagles have a last palce schedule? That schedule doesn't seem like it.

Put down the crackpipe. Outside of the NFC East they've only got three tough games--Indy, Tampa, and Carolina. Jacksonville's not a slouch, but the rest: Houston, San Fran, Green Bay, New Orleans, Tennessee, and Atlanta are a cakewalk.

anyone that thinks the seahawks "come out of nowhere" is just not paying attention. they have been either in the playoffs or on the brink for the past several years. holmgren has been building up to a year like that for a while. shaun alexander and hasselbeck have been in place for a few years and neither of them are a surprise. the main problem has been inconsistent wideouts and it still plagues them (see superbowl XL) they did not come out of nowhere.
